It’s Time For The Ski Season

The purpose of life is to reach out for new experiences without any fear. We should be open-minded to whatever is to come next for us. New experiences help us to grow and show us what we are truly capable of becoming.

Tomorrow I am moving to France. I have secured myself my dream job working as a Chalet Host in Val d’Isère for the coming ski season. I am working for VIP Ski – a company with a prolific reputation for high standards.

I have aspired to work the Ski Season since I was 13, when I first learnt to ski and I am so excited for the times that lie ahead. As a host, I will learn incredible life skills on a daily basis. It will be an experience that will stand me in good stead for the rest of my life.  I can’t wait to meet like-minded people and learn many new skills.

A typical day will start with the hosts preparing breakfast, making afternoon tea and ensuring that the chalet is clean. Once the morning tasks have been completed we then have time to ourselves where we can go off and hit the slopes. Whether I choose to have an action –packed afternoon skiing/snowboarding and socialising or a more restful day unwinding in the resort, the highs of the experience will be second to none.

By early evening the hosts will prepare a three-course dinner. I am a passionate cook so I can’t wait to perfect my cooking skills and try out new recipes. In my spare time I will be learning how to snowboard. I have wanted to learn for as long as I can remember and I am excited to be able to cross something off my bucket list by the end of the season.

Nothing in life is more valuable than experience.  New experiences shape us into the person that we are destined to become. Be brave and take risks, you never know what the contents of the next chapter will be.
