Start Living Your Life Fearlessly
To live fearlessly, means to live a life without limits. Self- confidence is about how we value ourselves and what we want to become. When we attain strong self-confidence we find out what we are truly capable of achieving. With self-confidence, we can live life to its full potential, becoming entirely immersed in every experience and opportunity that crosses our path, rather than merely existing. When we have self-confidence it means that we have made a conscious decision to live a life without fear.
The essential components for self-confidence are:
1. Take risks on a daily basis. Risks force us to leave our comfort zone. You’ll be surprised by how much can be achieved when you take the leap of faith outside of your comfort zone. When we take risks we inspire ourselves to become brave, so when it comes to facing new situations we are not afraid. Be bold. It okay to feel uncomfortable… that’s how we grow.
2. Look the part. I always feel that before an event that triggers my anxiety I could do with a shot of vodka…. But that isn’t always appropriate. If I am not feeling confident, I can at least fake it by looking the part. No one needs to know how you really feel on the inside. A great outfit, a smile and good posture screams confidence! When we look the part we start to believe more in ourselves.
3. Be prepared. Preparation is key to self-confidence. When we are knowledgeable about what we do, nothing can knock us back.
4. Set short-term goals and achieve them. Long- term goals are great for a vision of where we want to be in the future, but they can often seem far out of reach. Break up your long-term goals into short-term goals and start achieving them. When we achieve short-term goals we feel accomplished.
How well we handle our fears will determine what we make of our lives. Move confidently in the direction of your dreams. Anything is possible!
