Gail's Artisan Bakery (Review)
There is something so exciting about visiting a bakery that is packed to the brim with freshly baked goods. My mouth was watering in anticipation of tasting the freshly baked breads, cakes and pastries. The entire shop was consumed with a heavenly aroma. I wanted it all.
Yesterday I went to the Chiswick Branch of Gail’s Artisan Bakery, for brunch with mum and it did not disappoint. Gail’s Bakeries are located throughout London and specialise in handmade bread, cakes, salads, soups, sandwiches and coffee. We had the fried egg, bacon, tomato served on Muffin, from their breakfast menu. The muffin was lovely. We also had the mozzarella, tomato, pesto sandwich on ciabatta. The pesto was incredibly tasty and all of the flavours worked really well together…I didn’t want it to end.
All of the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The largely wooden décor contributed to the homely feel of the whole experience. How could we possibly leave without trying their sweet treats? My mum got a bitesize mouthful of a chocolate brownie. On the outside it just looks like your regular brownie…. one bite in and woah…. The brownie had a gooey inside, which was heaven. I had the chocolate cookie, which was the perfect texture. It had white chocolate chunks inside which melted in my mouth. We both certainly got our chocolate fix! We will definitely be going back for more!
