It’s easy to feel like that there is always something missing in our lives. Maybe the dream job you have dreamt of attaining turns out to be unfulfilling, or the relationship you had never quite lived up to the one like you see in the films. To feel content you are realistic about what can happen. You go after your dreams but always take a relaxed approach when life brings you challenges. Happiness only occurs when you feel completely comfortable in your own skin. Positive people are not afraid to face challenging situations head on.
Contentment is about showing gratitude for what you already have. Being surrounded by people who inspire you and encourage you to do better. Being surrounded by love, friends and family. You are at a stage in your life where you are socialising with people who make you happy and make you feel full inside. You’re grateful for the love around you and the love you have for yourself. You feel inspired by the people you are surrounded by. You are in good health and you know that those in your circle are healthy too. You remember that you have more time to do the things that you love. You have a place to call home that brings you warmth and makes you feel safe. When all of these values are so prominent in your life, you feel contentment. You are happy with everything you have, without wishing things were any different. This is the hand you were dealt and you would not swap it for another.
You have a sense of satisfaction from your daily routine. You feel a sense of togetherness and although some days are tough you are doing a great job at keeping it all together. You are doing everything in your power to live your happiest life. You focus on the things that you do have and all the reasons you have to be happy. Contentment is the realisation that what you have right now is more than enough.
